Types of Yoga Classes

YOGA 1

New to Yoga? Start here! If you have never practised yoga or are returning after some time away, Essentials classes are the place for you. – Feel free to jump in at any time. In each Essentials class you will be guided through movement designed to strengthen and nurture your body. The teacher will focus on alignment, technique and demonstrating and work shopping poses, giving you a solid foundation on which to build your practice. It’s not unusual to feel a little awkward in your first few classes but stick with it! Listen, be kind to your body and if you have any questions feel free to ask your teacher after class.

OPEN 1&2

If you are familiar with yoga and have your foundations nailed, this is the place for you. A little more stronger paced than Level 1 / Essentials our Open classes offer an energetic sequence, stronger poses and creative sequencing designed to challenge and inspire both mentally & physically. Expect a well-balanced and holistic practice and try out a few classes to find what resonates with you. Prior experience of yoga is recommended. Listen to your body, be safe and give yourself room to play. Classes get warm so come hydrated and dress light .

OPEN 1&2 Rishikesh Style

If you a would like to travel to the Himalaya & practice an Authentic Indian Yoga Class with the air flight, this class is the class for you. This 1.45hr practice is a little more stronger paced than Level 1 / Essentials our Open classes offer an energetic sequence, invigorating breathing techniques and mantra designed to challenge and inspire both mentally & physically. Expect a well-balanced and holistic practice. Prior experience of yoga is recommended. Listen to your body, be safe and give yourself room to play. Classes get warm so come hydrated and dress light .

YIN YOGA

Yin offers long, meditative yoga holds that explore subtle energies and penetrate deep into the connective tissues of the body. Restful and meditative, positions may be held from 3-21 minutes and may be enhanced by supportive props like bolsters, blankets or blocks. A wonderful complement to dynamic, flowing yoga, Yin is designed to release stress and tension from the body, calm the mind and renew the spirit. Although this class is suitable for rehabilitation and pregnancy please let your teacher know before class begins.
